We got a Look 566 Ultegra down to the desert for some test riding. The crew put on our HED Jet 4’s to make the build Cycling House worthy. If you are in the endurance road market I highly recommend taking a look at this bike. You’re getting a comfy ride that is more then capable of turning raceable with some fit adjustments.
In my opinion this bike is perfect for the avid, 9-5 road cyclist. You ride a bunch every week, maybe jump in a race or two, and you love getting after a 100 mile ride a couple times a year. If you are a full time racer then this isn’t for you. For an overall road rider who wants to be in that 2-3k range this is the ticket. The 105 bike is $2299 retail and the Ultegra bike is $2799.
The Look Carbon is un-rivaled and with the 566 your not going to brake the bank.The HED Jet 4 is a great wheel for the Look 566. It’s a great all around wheel for group rides and grand fondos. Also it looks cool.That backend of the 566 is sleak and simple. This version has the full Ultegra build, but you can also get a 105 build for $2299.You can see in this photo how the sloping seat stays come down. This makes the bike extremely comfortable for endurance riding.From a far the 2013 Ultegra can look like a Dura Ace Crankset. Shimano Cranks are still the standard in durability.Here is the 566 fully stock build with Ultegra. Retail is $2799. We added the HED Jet 4s. We can upgrade a bike purchase to any HED wheelset. Another thing to note in this picture is the steerer tube length. Want to get a bit more aero on an endurance road bike then cut the stem down and your on a raceable bike. Vice versa leave it high and ride 100 miles + with no back pain.
