Welcome to our first adventure bike trip to South America! Join us in January 2019 for this incredible adventure to the lakes region of Chile. This trip takes us through some of Chile’s most beautiful terrain including the Chiloe Island, Carretera Austral and the Osorno Volcano. The Chiloe is known for its Chilean folklore and traditions, as well as its many colorful wooden churches that have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Carretera Austral is the name given to Chile’s Route 7; a land of dense forests, snow-tipped mountains, glacial streams, islands, and swift-flowing rivers. The Osorno Volcano provides a beautiful backdrop of glaciated peaks. Once we set out from Puerto Varas, we travel through remote villages and towns.
The route itself covers over 250 miles of riding plus two open days built for a short hike or a ride length of your choice. Due to the regions geographic nature, we also utilize four different ferries along the way. The terrain is primarily rolling roads, but expect the climbing to add up by the end of the day.
