Back for it’s 2nd year, The Cycling House presents another epic Tour de Montana.  Seven days and six nights of beautiful alpine riding through rural Western Montana.  This is our annual tent camping point-to-point tour.

Day 1 Missoula Arrival Ride
Arrive for tour, lunch, ride, dinner at Caffe Dolce.

Day 2 Missoula – Sula
We travel through the Bitterroot Valley with spectacular views of the highest point in the Bitterroot, Trapper Peak.  It’s the perfect first night kick off.  Riders will have a creek right out the back to cool the legs.  The day is almost entirely flat with minimal elevation gain

Day 3 Sula – Big Hole Valley
The climbing begins! Within the first hour of riding we’ll tackle Lost Trail Pass which is 6 miles and tops out at 7,000 feet. We descend into the Big Hole Valley, surrounded by four mountain ranges.

Day 4 Big Hole Valley – Georgetown Lake
This route heads north and cuts through the heart of western Montana ranching and farming lands. We finish at Georgetown lake which greeted us last year with a moose at the campsite. She moved on and allowed us to stay the night

Day 5  Georgetown Lake – Ovando, MT
We start this day with a descent out of the mountains and back into the plains and farm land. This day has an amazing optional dirt section that is Montana’s version of a smooth (ish) Paris Roubaix section. In Ovando we get to checkout a staple Montana Bar with local brews and tasty whisky (optional)

Day 6 River float – Back to Missoula
Back to the Gue Farm for our final cookout, awards and bonfire!

Day 7 Departure Day

All meals are included in the price. Also, we will provide full ride support, luggage transportation and airport shuttles.  We have our Cannondale SuperSix road bikes for rental.

The Cycling House is based out of Missoula, MT and most staffers call Missoula home.  We are excited to have you along for this Montana adventure.  The mileage and climbing will be challenging but the views are worth it.  Please call or email for questions and availability.
