A Day In The Life Of a Few Missoula, MT Triathletes (and 2 non-triathletes)

On Tuesday, professional triathlete and local Missoulian, Linsey Corbin organized a group of triathletes and two non-triathletes (Owen and Tom Robertson) for a fun-filled day of triathlon bliss. The group started the day off bright and early in the Clark Fork River with a 1.5 hour up-stream “open water” swim (Owen didn’t get the memo on this workout so he was still sleeping). After the swim they fueled up at the Hob Nob, one of Missoula’s best breakfast spots.

After the grub session it was time for the main event of the day: A 90+ mile road ride from Missoula to the top of Lolo Pass and back. The ride was basically a gentleman’s tempo pace until a Shleck/Contador style battle broke out for the KOM at 4 miles to go (TCH Staffers swept the top 3 spots).

A tri-day wouldn’t be compete without a big run following the swim and ride. They worked on their speed at the track (Owen didn’t get this memo either).
