Bucket List; Wildflower Triathlon Festival

Everyone has bucket lists and Wildflower Triathlon Festival should be on every triathletes list.  The race is in its 31st edition and offers a fun, family, festival like venue unlike any other triathlon.  Tri-California has offered a unique amazing feel for many years and has become a small fish in a big pond with Ironman branded races absorbing nearly every race series.  Wildflower always holds a special place in my heart because we used to travel to it from Montana for the collegiate challenge.  My first race at Wildflower was epic!  The course was challenging, the camping was fun, the environment was relaxed but most of all the experience was unique!  A 24 hour road trip delivered a mangey crew of Montana triathletes to Lake San Antonio and spurred our dominance of the collegiate race for several years.  The crew included; Linsey Corbin (multiple Ironman winner) and Ben Hoffman (multiple Ironman winner)  both University of Montana students.  The memories made at Wildflower still hold a special place and most that participate know exactly what you are talking about.

Wildflower can be a difficult to race at because of the logistics that camping can add.  The Cycling House & Racers’ Roost is going to offer a camp at the 2013 edition that will cover all of your accommodations  food and travel to the venue.  I really wanted more folks to experience Wildflower but still have the same amenities that The Cycling House offers.  So this year we will have an RV with a chef and a built in staff of super fans.  We will also have the Hammer Nutrition fuels on hand to make your race day experience great!  The camp will be epic and the memories will last a life time.  If you have ever considered racing Wildflower 2013 is your year!  Here is a link with more information about the camp http://www.thecyclinghouse.com/camps/racers-roost/wildflower-triathlon-festival-camp/
