The Cycling House hosted a camp with some of the good folks from Vail, Colorado and Dogma Athletica. Rod Connolly owner of Dogma Athletica assembled a group for their mid-January camp. Dogma has an amazing facility in Vail Colorado that includes; computrainer and yoga classes, personal training, dynamic bicycle fits, metabolic testing and VO2 max testing. Dogma Athletica also employs Xterra professional Josiah Midaugh and Cyclocross professional Jake Wells. The Cycling House is excited to be partnering with Dogma Athletica for High Altitude and Xterra specific camps in June of 2012 in Vail, Colorado. Dogma Athletica will be including dynamic bicycle fits, metabolic testing, and VO2 max testing as part of the camp.
The camp in Tucson was great! The featured rides were; Dove Mountain, Gates Pass, Mount Lemmon, Saddlebrook, and San Manuel. In 5 days of cycling we covered 250+ miles. TCH chef Jess Cerra once again created some amazing meals including; salmon with roasted tomatoes fennel and olives, homemade lasagna and shepherds pie, chicken curry, and paella. Days were filled with early morning yoga and stretching, epic rides, and good conversation over wine and fine food in the evenings. Needless to say; it was easy living & good times!
Another great camp in 2012 is in the books and we are looking forward to some more great camps at The Cycling House. The crew gets to take a breather for nearly a week as we prepare for the 1st of 3 Hammer Nutrition camps. Hammer Nutrition camps offer a deeper look into fueling for endurance during their week-long camps in January, February, and March. The camps still have spots available so check out the link if you are interested. Following the Hammer Nutrition camp we have the second annual Linsey Corbin triathlon camp. Unfortunately the 2012 edition of the camp is sold out so you will have to mark your calendars for 2013. It was a great week with Dogma Athletica and we look forward to more camps with them in the future.
