We’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about the difference between the Look 675 and the 675 Light. While these bikes are quite similar, there are a few minor differences that make up for the price difference.
First, the similarities: Both the standard 675 and the 675 Light have the same geometry, integrated A-stem, and general riding feel. If you like the way you sit on the 675 the 675 Light will feel the same, and vice-versa. There are more similarities than differences between the two bikes, but the nuances make the Look 675 Light unique.
The differences come in frame material and components. The 675 Light uses new 1.5k carbon braid to dip below 990g frame weight. In addition the ultegra option is complete ultegra, while the standard 675 ultegra still has a 105 sprocket. The 675 light also comes with a carbon bar, carbon seatpost, and American Classic Argent wheels, rather than the Mavic Aksium. All-in-all this creates a relatively large weight savings for gram counters.
That being said, both the 675 and 675 Light are great bikes. They bridge the gap in the Look spectrum between the comfort driven 566 and the race ready 695. Both 675 models are comfortable for training purposes, but will not be a hindrance in race situations. If you prefer logging quality training miles to weekend warrior races we would recommend looking at the standard 675, but if you want a more performance-driven bike, look at the 675 Light.
