The Tour de Montana 2017 is a wrap and we are already planning for 2018. Before we jump too far forward, let’s take a peak at our favorite shots from this year’s trip.

A few of our favorite pictures from the 2017 Tour de Montana

The Drone was out in full force at Lake Como in the Bitterroot Valley. Riders took a lunch break and did a trail run around the lake.

 

Owen Gue leading a great group on stage 3 through the Big Hole Valley. The valley sits at 6000 feet and is surrounded by 4 mountain ranges.

 

Stage 2 took us through the Pioneer Scenic Byway near Dillon, MT. The wildflowers were out in full force and made for a beautiful ride through the Pioneer Mountains.

 

One of our overnights is The Wise River Club. The Pioneer Scenic Byway in the distance is where we rode from to get to Wise. This overnight included some bonuses like ice cream and karaoke.

The weather was nice in Dillon, MT so Chef Drew took breakfast outside. This is a common breakfast scene on Tour de Montana.

 

New for this year we camped at Red Barn Bicycles in Hamilton, MT. Their shop is amazing and the property is even better.

What is the Tour de Montana?

The Tour de Montana is our original point-to-point cycling vacation in Montana. Our company is based in Missoula, Montana and we love to show off our beautiful backyard. The Tour de Montana is getting a facelift for it’s fifth year in existence – we’ve revised the route to make it even better. In 2017, we’re going to start in Ennis and ride all the way to our home base in Missoula. On the first day we will shuttle from Missoula to Ennis for the start of the tour.  The new route will get us on quieter roads and we’ll ride more of the diverse terrain the state offers. This is an all-inclusive, fully supported tour that features chef-prepared gourmet campfire meals, guided and SAG-supported rides, and some of the nicest country in the world to bike through. Our journey will take us off the beaten path past rugged mountain landscapes and through small Montana towns. The Tour de Montana is an excellent opportunity to simplify, get back to the basics and enjoy a week away from the stresses of normal life.
