Frank Solito

I was born in Melbourne, Australia, and lived there until I was 10, when my family decided to return to our roots in southern Italy. My early career took me across the country as part of the Italian Air Force—but my first love has always been cycling.

Today, I live in Siena with my family, where I continue to explore my passion for riding and sharing it with others.

What is the best thing about working at The Cycling House?

The Cycling House allows me to do what I love most—ride my bike, meet incredible people, and explore new places around the world. It’s the perfect mix of passion, connection, and adventure.

Do you have a favorite ride?

Oh boy! I love the roads around my home in Sienna. How can you beat the Strade Bianche route? Next best to home, I would have to go with my second home the Dolomites.

What is the most memorable day you’ve ever had on the bike?

I’ve had countless memorable days on the bike, but one of the most epic was riding Liège–Bastogne–Liège, one of the legendary monument races in Belgium. It was hours of relentless rain and cold—truly a brutal day. At the time it was tough, but now I look back and laugh. Experiences like that are what make cycling unforgettable.
