Annabelle Schwab

I’m originally from Layton, Utah, where growing up by the Wasatch Mountains meant splitting my time between soccer and the outdoors. I played D1 soccer at SUU in Cedar City for 2 years. After that, I worked at the university’s outdoor center guiding mountain biking and camping trips, earned a business degree in Hospitality Management, and fell in love with long rides after joining the university’s cycling club (initially with my humble commuter bike).

Since then, I’ve been living in Salt Lake City. I stay involved with nonprofits like Girls on the Run Utah (after school running program) and Little Bellas (mountain bike mentoring). When I’m not volunteering, you’ll find me on group rides in search of coffee and pastries or riding Dry Creek and Bobsled in the foothills.

What's the best thing about working at The Cycling House?

The people! The great riding and amazing meals from TCH really open the door for connection which is something I experienced right away here. Everyone has a story, and there’s no better way to share and learn those stories on a bike ride or over a meal.

Do you have a favorite ride?

The Grand Loop in Teton National Park.

What is the most memorable day you've had on the bike?

The second day of my first bike packing trip on The White Rim in Moab. The final winding climb out of the canyon was spectacular. I had dreamt of riding that trail for nearly 10 years and finally living it felt unreal!
