What is the best thing about working at The Cycling House?
Other than the amazing food, endless sunshine, and bikes? Getting the chance to be a part of someone else's best day ever on a bike is by far the most gratifying part of being a TCH guide. Helping people achieve their goals and challenge themselves is an incredibly rewarding experience. Oh, and did I mention the food?
Do you have a favorite ride?
On the road it's hard to do much better than Mt. Lemmon. Just making it to the top is an achievement in and of itself, but for those who are lucky enough to ride it multiple times the challenge of beating a PR or seeing something new along the way keeps it fresh and exciting. Lemmon is a true test of mental strength. Every time I have ridden it I experience such a vast range of emotion; from doubt and despair to exhilaration and bliss, and everything in between. Once you've reached the summit, the descent is just icing on the cake!
What is the most memorable day you’ve ever had on the bike?
It is too hard for me to pick just one, so instead, I'll give you my recipe for an amazing day on the bike: 1. Explore new places (or revisit old favorites) 2. Enjoy great weather (or brave the elements) 3. Eat some tasty food (or just some gas station cuisine) 4. Ride with good friends (both new and old) If I manage to hit all four, I know I've had one of my best days on the bike!
