Comparing 25 Ironman’s worldwide, Wisconsin is the second toughest of them all. Why? The swim is flat just like most swims. The run has a double bump hill that is run twice, but that’s it. The bike course however is where the challenge mounts. To successfully negotiate the course, the bike portion must be within your operating limits. The Cycling House Wisconsin camp is more challenging than the IM bike course. Learn to ride the hills and go the distance, goals of the camp, and you’ll tame IM WI bike course-no problem.
If The Horribly Hilly Hundred (HHH) is your thing, the camp is smack dab in the middle of the 10,000 ft of climbing/100 miles of riding that you’ll confront when riding the event. Learn strategies to ride the 40 big climbs comprising the HHH. You’ll also learn how to fuel and hydrate for 100+ miles of hill repeats that makes the HHH a classic.
