Reflecting on RATPOD 2018

We had an amazing weekend in Dillon, MT for RATPOD 2018.  This year we invited TCH guests and friends from our TCH community to come ride with us and we had folks come in from all over the USA including, Washington, Texas, Missouri, Minnesota, Utah and New York!  It was so amazing to see our riders from all over the country riding the roads of rural Montana and raising money for the kids of Camp Mak-A-Dream.

6:55am and ready to ride 126 miles!

$16,000!

Between the two TCH teams and our TCH community, we raised over $16,000 for the kids of Camp Mak-a-Dream. Overall RATPOD raised $350,000 for Camp Mak-a-Dream this year!

Showing up to ride

“Fundraising for camp is only part of what makes this event special. Equally as important is showing up and riding, rain or shine (we had a little bit of both this year) and spending time with each other in what I feel is one of the most beautiful places in the world. When I looked around at our TCH family at the start line in Dillon I felt so dang grateful to see that so many had traveled to Dillon, MT to ride this ride with us.” – Owen Gue

Rick and Judy, long time Cycling House riders, traveled from Washington to ride RATPOD with us.
Tom has traveled with us for 12 years and he flew in from Minnesota to ride RATPOD for the 2nd time in as many years.
Anya and Rick cruising down the Pioneer Byway. Rick lives in Missoula and rode his first ever RATPOD.

Tour de Montana

This year we did something brand new and organized a weekend event around RATPOD and then followed it up with the start of the Tour de Montana. Some riders that participated in both events, which turned into 10 days of riding, eating tasty food and adventuring in Montana with us.

After RATPOD some riders stayed in Montana and rode the Tour de Montana with us. Ultimately riding from Dillon all the way to Missoula, MT.

RATPOD Next Year

We’ll be organizing another weekend event for TCH / RATPOD 2019. If you’d like to be part of this event, drop us a line. We’d love to have you out there with us!
